Adrian Dahl Askelund

My research focuses on the development of mental disorders in children and adolescents. The title of the current project is «Same genes, different disorders: understanding the developmental emergence of different psychiatric problems in the context of common genetic liabilities». I use data from birth cohorts such as the Norwegian Mother, Father and Child Cohort Study (MoBa) and linked health registries.

We aim to ensure that our research is transparent and reproducible, facilitated by open science practices such as preregistration, Registered Reports, and sharing of analytic code. With a background as a clinical psychologist, my hope is that our research will ultimately have a positive impact on young people's lives, and beyond.
